The city council in Brno, the second-largest city in the Czech Republic, had decided to expand the range of sporting and recreational services offered to the many inhabitants and tourists in the city. The result of this planning was the construction of a new and luxurious water park, Aquapark Kohoutovice. To the great satisfaction of the fit-out planners, developers and (naturally) its patrons, the baths opened with much pomp and fanfare in April 2010.

The Aquapark offers a truly unique ambience for all kinds of fitness, spa and bathing activities. The extensive and luxurious facilities on offer include a fitness studio, whirlpool, boutique spa treatments, a large swimming pool and a bright-red water slide. The stunning contours and flowing geometries of the building architecture are also reflected in the sanitary facilities. Quite apart from their elegant visual appearance, however, SCHELL’s products also offer reliable functionality and economic use of water. Simple and convenient, the fittings are also easy to use for the park’s younger visitors.

The PURIS SC self-closing wash basin tap is installed on all 15 wash basins. Thanks to its automatic self-closing mechanism, visitors do not need to touch the fitting again after washing their hands. The flow time can also be adjusted individually, according to requirements, which guarantees optimum hygiene combined with low water consumption.

Since this self-closing technology is just as useful in shower cubicles, the fit-out planners installed the LINUS D-SC-M concealed shower, which also offers an impressively robust design and is made from the toughest of materials. All of which makes it ideal for handling the challenging day-to-day conditions at Aquapark Kohoutovice.
