Da Nang International Airport

Da Nang International Airport is one of Vietnam’s busiest airports. The sheer volume of passengers presents significant challenges for the sanitary facilities. Operation of the fittings needed to be hygienic and low‑contact in order to reduce the risk of contact infections. The fittings installed needed to be especially durable to withstand the especially heavy level of annual usage. At the same time, the products needed to offer water-efficient operation, and actively help to reduce the consumption of water and energy.

As part of renovation works, the project managers decided to fit out the sanitary facilities with the MODUS E and MODUS Trend E wash basin taps, thanks to their impressive combination of minimalist design and intelligent technology. The infrared sensor on the taps triggers the flow of water without contact, which reduces the risk of contact infections. The flow of water starts when hands enter the detection area and stops automatically when the hands leave the area again. This achieves significant reductions to water and energy consumption.

A total of 54 EDITION WC operating panels were also installed, together with COMPACT II concealed WC flush valves. With its elegant contours and low water consumption, this traditional WC operating panel is a perfect fit for the well thought-out and sustainable design concept implemented at Da Nang Airport. The stainless steel front panel is vandal-resistant and therefore an ideal choice for day-to-day use by the many visitors to this airport.
