FAQ for the new SCHELL E² faucet generation
You can download the free app onto your smartphone from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
All you need is the new E² app. This intuitive app guides you through the process of making any necessary settings. No additional tools are required. See this blog post to find out more.
Copy faucet profile to other faucets, individually or with the group manager: The SCHELL E² app offers time-saving management functions for faucets of the same model. Settings from one faucet can be saved as a profile and then copied to one faucet or – by using the group manager – to multiple faucets. For recurring commissioning work, this helps to avoid human error while also saving time.
In the ‘Save water’ operating mode, the flow of water is stopped early, after the user leaves the sensor range. ‘Save electricity’ mode optimises the faucet’s energy efficiency by reducing the sensor frequency. ‘Comfort’ mode starts the flow of water faster and also keeps the water flowing for longer. See this blog post to find out more.
Setting up stagnation flushes with the E² app couldn’t be easier. Apart from interval-based flushes, the built-in real-time clock also allows the creation of date series. All that needs to be entered is the flow time, start time and day, for example 3 min 30 s, flush at 11 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. See this blog post to find out more.
The perfect symbiosis of drinking water hygiene and saving water: flushes are recalculated and executed daily, after allowing for usage levels on previous days. Flushing is skipped if usage levels are high enough. This ensures compliance with the 72-hour rule (VDI 6023) while minimising water consumption. See this blog post to find out more.
All operating data and faucet statuses can be accessed at any time, and are logged as a continuous and unbroken process. Completed stagnation flushes and calculated water consumption can be viewed in the app at any time. A short summary appears at the end of the readout process: this summary can be saved in the app or exported, and sent elsewhere as a CSV or PDF file. This significantly simplifies the record-keeping process needed for legal compliance. See this blog post to find out more.
With its new time-of-flight technology, the sensor system in the XERIS E², CELIS E² and PURIS E² faucets is highly accurate, which makes accidental triggering – by light reflected from hi-vis vests, for example – a thing of the past.
Yes: you can either use one of the predefined operating modes to alter sensor triggering or you can switch to expert mode and configure your own, custom settings.
