  • Bluetooth® inside

    All fittings in the new generation come equipped with Bluetooth® as standard, so that they can be set up and managed using the new super-efficient SCHELL app.

    • Bluetooth inside: direct connection between fitting and app without other accessories
    • Lightning-fast, intuitive commissioning, parameterisation and logging via app for one or more E² fittings
    • No need for complicated, time-consuming short-range reflex programming

  • Accurate operation

    With its new time-of-flight technology, the fitting’s sensor system is highly accurate, which makes accidental triggering – by reflections or incident light, for example – a thing of the past.

  • Stagnation flushes

    Alongside a new mode – ‘Flush while accounting for usage’ – a date series can also be entered into the app to ensure the precise configuration of stagnation flushes.

    • New setting options for better plannability, accounting for usage levels and reduced water consumption
    • Thanks to a real-time clock, scheduled stagnation flushes are possible using a convenient date series, e.g. at times of low usage
    • Automatic flushing while accounting for usage: demand-based flushing if water consumption drops below a specified level within a certain period of time

  • Saving water

    Alongside the option for custom settings with expert mode, three preconfigured operating modes are also available, to make parameter setting on E2 fittings even faster: Save water, Save electricity and Comfort.

    • Save water mode: to cut consumption, the flow of water stops quickly when the user moves out of sensor range
    • Save electricity mode: power-saving sensor frequency for a long battery life
    • Comfort mode: quick start and long flow of water for user-friendly operation
    • Expert mode: customised configuration of options to match local circumstances and customer needs (e.g. detection range, flow/follow-up time, etc.)

  • Hot water limiting or thermostat

    All HD-M faucets in the new series are equipped with mechanical hot water limiting, allowing individual adjustment of the maximum flow of hot water through the faucet. The XERIS E-T features a ThermoProtect thermostat with reliable anti-scalding protection.

  • Direct connection between fitting and app

    Functional details:
    Thanks to Bluetooth® inside as standard, a local, direct connection between fitting and app is possible without other accessories. This means that any E² fitting within Bluetooth® range can be adjusted quickly and easily with the app.

  • Choice of three preconfigured modes at the wash basin

    Functional details:
    For lightning-fast parameter setting on SCHELL E² wash basin faucets, simply select one of the three preconfigured modes in the E² app: the ‘Save water’ mode ensures a quick stop to the flow of water, the ‘Save energy’ mode extends faucet battery life and the ‘Comfort’ mode keeps the water flowing until handwashing is complete.

  • Custom parameter setting at the wash basin

    Functional details:
    Expert mode is perfect for making custom settings to SCHELL E² wash basin faucets using the E² app. In this mode, the sensor range, the sensor response time, the follow-up time and other faucet parameters can all be adjusted to perfectly match local circumstances and customer needs.

  • Stagnation flushes

    Functional details:
    Setting up stagnation flushes with the E² app couldn’t be easier. Apart from interval-based flushes, the built-in real-time clock also allows the creation of date series. All that needs to be entered is the flow time, start time and day, for example 3 min 30 s, flush at 11 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

  • App-based thermal disinfection on the wash basin

    Functional details:
    Thermal disinfections can be triggered on the wash basin from a safe distance with the E² app . Only the flow time needs to be set up beforehand and then the process can be started with the ‘Play’ button. The app prompts for confirmation and the flow of water then starts.

  • Building and room overview in the app

    Functional details:
    The building management functions in the E² app can be used to create buildings and rooms to ensure effortless access to operating data. Battery levels and any action required can be viewed at a glance. The individual room views can be used to access data and stagnation flushes across multiple rooms can also be triggered if needed, for example.

  • Proof of compliance with legal requirements

    Functional details:
    E² simplifies the record-keeping process needed for legal compliance, with convenient logging of scheduled events and water consumption (calculated). These logs can be easily accessed and exported for use elsewhere.

  • Access triggering data, battery charge, etc.

    Functional details:
    Statistics for SCHELL E² fittings can be conveniently accessed with the E² app. Status messages about battery charge, water consumption (calculated), triggering and more are presented in detail in a clearly structured layout. Sharing statistics with others is also straightforward with the ‘Share data’ button.

  • Trigger cleaning stop via app

    Functional details:
    The cleaning stop can be set easily using the E² app. First, the flow time needs to be adjusted and then the cleaning stop can be started with the ‘Play’ button. This can also be triggered on the fitting without a smartphone via short-range reflex. The sensor LED flashes while the cleaning stop is active.

  • Battery charge and actions required

    Functional details:
    Information about the E² fittings is easily accessible from within the app and clearly presented. Messages are used to flag up any actions required The status indicator provides information about battery charge, usage, commissioning and more.

  • Trigger continuous flow without confirmation instead of manual flush

    Functional details:
    Manual flushes via continuous flow can also be triggered for wash basin faucets using the E² app. After selecting the flow time, the process can be started with the ‘Play’ button. The app prompts for confirmation and the flow of water then starts.

Modern sensor technology

The time-of-flight (ToF) technology measures the time taken by an outbound pulse of light reflected back to the sensor from an object –
like the user’s hands. The sensor then uses this period of time to calculate the distance in real time
and can start or stop the flow of water once the range is correctly configured. Visit our blog to find out more.
